—How Does It Work?

Laban Ministries is the mission organization that Todd Smith’s (of Selah) parents (Jim & Nancy Smith) founded in 1978. He grew up in Congo and continues to support the ongoing work today. He, along with Selah members, Amy Perry & Allan Hall, have graciously partnered with us to help raise awareness of our work there. As a result, Selah is able to deliver a great concert to churches in a very cost-effective manner.

—What Does It Mean for Your Church?

If your venue is accommodating enough and you’re able to provide some volunteers, there’s a good chance we can make it happen! Once the survey is filled out, you’ll be contacted and the booking process will begin. We try hard to keep things simple so you should have an answer relatively soon once the survey is submitted.

—How Does It Benefit Laban Ministries?

These concerts are not intended primarily for fund-raising. We simply desire to share  our work in Africa and give others the opportunity to join us in prayer and service. Those attending will hear a short presentation about our ministry and then have the opportunity to join our Serve and Prayer teams or purchase some African livestock. We want everyone leaving feeling refreshed and encouraged at what God is doing around the world!

10 Weeks Prior

Contact made with Selah’s road manager regarding volunteers, a/v, stage set up, and transportation.

8 Weeks Prior

All volunteers have been recruited & assigned.

4 Weeks Prior

Conference call with Grow Team leaders. Confirm piano is scheduled for tuning if acoustic.

2 Weeks Prior

Lyrics & presentation(s) have been tested & proofed.

Day Prior

Stage is set up, tables (5) in lobby with table cloths, a/v is concert ready (as described in rider) .

Day of Concert

3 PM – Final audio/video check with road manager
4 PM – Sound check for Selah
5 PM – Dinner served
6 PM – Doors Open
7 PM – Concert
